On December 15, the 'Enertic Award 2022' awards were awarded at the headquarters of the Secretary of State for Digitization and Artificial Intelligence. In one of its categories, the one that has to do with the best manager in the 'Training, Research and Technology Transfer' category, the vice-rector for Innovation, Fernando García Muiña, has been selected.

This prize, points out the winner, is a "recognition of an entire research trajectory in the field of sustainability and how all this work materializes in different policies and strategies of innovation and transfer of the University". García Muiña thanked all the support during these years both to the URJC and to the staff of the Office of the Vice President for Innovation.

One of the particularities of this contest is the fact that, to compete for the prizes, no application is presented, but the different finalists are selected by a jury, as examples of success stories and good practices.

The vice-rector of the URJC won a 'final' in which the vice-rector for Transfer, Innovation and Culture of the UAM, Félix Zamora, and the general director of the IDAE, María Francisca Rivero, were also present.

The enerTIC Awards recognize, since 2013, leading projects and executives in the field of ICT application to improve energy competitiveness and sustainability, not only in their companies, but each one in their sector.

The enerTIC.org Platform currently works with more than 90 companies and an extensive Institutional Collaboration Network. The enerTIC Awards are part of its Annual Activities Plan, which includes more than 20 initiatives aimed at promoting innovation for energy efficiency and sustainability. Energy companies and companies from other sectors such as automotive, food and beverages, aeronautics, as well as financial institutions, town halls and public bodies participate in this program.
