“The digital transition is among the great challenges facing today's society” is one of the conclusions reached during the course of the last EsF dossier. And if this publication has seen the light, it is, to a large extent, due to Jorge Malfeito, in charge of coordinating this latest project.

Professor at the URJC since 2003, he belongs to the department of Applied Economics I and History and Economic Institutions at the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences. He also collaborates with different public administrations as a consultant and with different NGOs, among which Economists Without Borders meet.

“It is the first time that I have coordinated the preparation of the dossier, it was a request that the Board of Economists Without Borders gave me, since they knew me from having collaborated with them on other occasions and having taken summer courses,” comments the professor, who acknowledges that “It has not been an easy task” to make the dossier: “The EsF dossiers always have the same structure, there are 8-9 articles along with a presentation, and we have to look for parity between the writers, which added to the fact that their collaboration It is done altruistically, it complicates the situation a little” explained Jorge Malfeito. Highlight the participation of Ana Medina, coordinator of Innovation, Digitalization and Foresight of the FCEE of the URJC, in the writing of one of the articles present in the work.

However, the professor declares that "he is very satisfied with the result" and what gives him the most satisfaction is "the response from the project collaborators, they wanted to participate in the dossier and thanks to them a magnificent work has been left, which will be able to serve as a great work of resources” comments Jorge Malfeito. “A work aimed at people dedicated to international economy, international cooperation and social economy, as well as all people who want to be aware of current events in the economic field,” concludes the professor.
