The URJC participates in Genera 2016

The URJC Campus of International Excellence 'Intelligent Energy' has presented its technological offer in the field of sustainable energy management and the promotion of ICTs in the field of energy efficiency at this energy sector fair.

The International Energy and Environment Fair, Generate 2016, organized by IFEMA and promoted by the IDAE, aims to promote meetings between administrations, companies, technology centres, universities and other organizations in the renewable energy and environment sector.

The Campus of International Excellence (CEI) 'Intelligent Energy' project, led by the Rey Juan Carlos University, has presented its technological offer through a total of nineteen profiles grouped into the two main areas of work of the CEI: Bioenergy and Clean Technologies and Information and Communication Technologies for Energy Efficiency.

The URJC's commitment to the development of sustainable energy models is recognized by the AENOR certification of its Energy Management System in accordance with the UNE-ISO 50001:2011 standard. This credential accredits the actions aimed at saving and energy efficiency that the university has been developing for years. To achieve these objectives, the URJC has created the Energy Efficiency Unit (UNEFE), a unit of a cross-cutting nature, with full powers in matters of energy efficiency at the URJC and which collaborates directly in the coordination and technical management of all the actions that in this matter are developed in the campuses of the university.
