The sixteenth edition of the year's largest scientific outreach event has paid tribute to Miguel de Cervantes on the fourth centenary of his death with the aim of disseminating and promoting research on his life and works.
The Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) has joined this event by organizing activities from different scientific fields, related both to the Spanish writer and to different areas of knowledge.
In total, the URJC has offered more than a hundred free proposals, aimed at all audiences, with the aim of disseminating research results and bringing science closer to society. During these two weeks, more than 2000 participants have attended round tables, conferences, practical workshops, open days, visits to laboratories, exhibitions and educational itineraries guided by experts.
The Madrid Science Week is organized by the General Directorate of Universities and Research of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Community of Madrid, through the madri+d Foundation for Knowledge. At the URJC, the activities are coordinated by the Vice-rectorate for Teaching Staff and Research, through the Unit for Scientific Culture and Innovation (UCC+i).
