Students from the URJC and the other five Madrid public universities with the best records will be able to work in the most cutting-edge companies in the Community of Madrid, thanks to the 'Promoting Talent' programme, presented today.

Among the participants in the presentation, the recent graduate of the degree in Engineering in Industrial Organization of the URJC, Bhanu Chetwani, has taken the floor on behalf of the first selected to participate in the program. Bhanu has been accompanied by the rector of the URJC, Javier Ramos.

This student reminded the audience of the effort involved in reaching these levels of excellence and thanked the Community of Madrid and the universities and companies for their trust in the region's young talent.

'Promoting Talent' is a pioneering program in Spain launched by the Community of Madrid whose objective is for young talent to develop their careers in the main companies and institutions in the region. Through this initiative, young people are offered a career plan that encourages their professional development in companies located in the Community of Madrid, retaining talent.

In addition to the participation of the six public universities in Madrid, the program has the support of 40 companies, including companies such as Telefónica, Siemens, Airbus, Microsoft and Grupo Santander.

The objective of the program is to connect these companies with the talent generated by the region's universities in the areas of Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics. It is foreseen for Arts and Humanities degrees, as well as for Vocational Training students.
