Graduation of the students of the ETSII degrees

More than 300 students from the bachelor's and master's degrees of the Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering graduated this Thursday in Móstoles. Among them, the first class of the Degree in Video Game Design and Development, a pioneer in Spain.

Yesterday, the Rector's Assembly Hall was a hive of students, teachers and families. A total of 308 students (229 and 79 women) graduated after much effort and dedication.

In this sense, the director of the ETSII, José María Cavero, has expressed himself, who has recognized the hard work of all the students to close their degrees.

The degree with the most graduates was Computer Engineering, with a total of 131 students (97 men and 34 women). With regard to master's degrees, the one with the most graduates has been Computer Graphics, Games and Virtual Reality, with 19 students (14 men and 5 women), tied with Data Science, also with 19 students (15 men and 4 women).

Students graduated from the following degrees: Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Video Game Design and Development and ADE, and from the master's degrees in: Computer Engineering, Computer Graphics, Games and Virtual Reality, Information Systems Engineering. Decision, Information Systems Engineering, Artificial Vision, Data Science, Cybersecurity and Privacy.

The graduation ceremony has also served to deliver different awards to students who have stood out for excellence in their work and in their records. Thus, the prize for the best record in the Degree in Informatics Engineering and Computer Engineering has gone to Iván Velasco González, while in the Degree in Software Engineering it has gone to Sandra Timón Mayo. The best record in the Degree in Mathematics has been for Francisco Pérez Díaz. In addition, the prize for the best record in the Degree in Video Game Design and Development has been awarded for the first time, which has gone to Sara Lozoya Sevilla.

The event was also attended by the ISACA Madrid association, whose director of Academic Relations, José Antonio Rubio, presented the two prizes in the form of certification in the field of cybersecurity for the best record in the Computer Security subject of all the degrees of the ETSII, which belongs to Daniel Arroyo Cortés and the best record of the Master in Cybersecurity and Privacy, which has corresponded to José Cascán Fernández.

The act continued with the delivery of other prizes, such as the best Pi Day logo or the recognition of the winners of the Mathematical Olympiad.

The master class of the event has been given by Ms. Eider Díaz Ascasso. PR & Strategy Manager Spain & LatAm at ESL. To finish, and on the occasion of the graduation of the first cohort of the Degree in Video Game Design and Development, a group of musicians performed the tune of the iconic video game 'Super Mario Bros'.
