The event, held this Monday at the Móstoles Campus, gave students and company representatives the opportunity to get to know each other. The students took advantage of the occasion to raise their questions about the operation of the SCHEDULE. As Marta Beltrán, coordinator of the Cybersecurity Engineering Degree and responsible for the initiative, has pointed out, "their main doubts had to do with knowing what was expected of them, what the mentors provided them with and if they were going to be able to access them, as well as if they decided to do internships in the companies where they carry out the program if they were going to work with the same people”. In addition, added Professor Beltrán, "the students were interested in the projects of each of the companies to find out where to locate themselves".

Representatives from Accenture, Deloitte, Entelgy Innotec, Eleven Paths (Telefónica), EY, GMV, Grupo Oesía, S21Sec, S2Grupo, Siemens, Willis Towers Watson and Zerolynx answered questions from the young people and presented them with the profiles of the mentors. As Marta Beltrán affirms, "We have sought plurality in the program and the profiles are very varied: consultancy and analysis in large consultancies, vulnerability projects and penetration in company IT security departments, etc."

For Marta Beltrán, the Mentoring Program is “a great opportunity that allows participants to live the day-to-day life of high-level professionals in the sector. It will help them see where they want to go in their professional career and also detect in their experience, the points that can continue to reinforce them in the degree”.

Beltrán wanted to thank the predisposition of the participating companies: "they are being very generous, opening up to students and proposing activities so that they can participate", he pointed out.

The rector, Javier Ramos, wanted to accompany the students in this event that aims to facilitate the employability of those who take this pioneering degree in Spain that was launched last year at the Rey Juan Carlos University.

Registration to participate in the program is open until October 9. To give more information to those interested, the participating firms have established open days that will be held in the coming weeks. After these days, the mentors will be assigned to the students and the accompaniment work will begin.
