The University comes to this event with three new official master's degrees in Teaching Digital Competence and Computational Thinking, Innovation and Management of Gastronomic Companies and Inclusive Education and Universal Design of Learning, which will be taught next year.

The URJC arrived at the Postgraduate Forum 2020, which was held in Madrid from March 5 to 7, with the aim of "informing visitors of the academic offer in university master's degrees and doctoral programs for the 20/21 academic year", points out Yolanda Pérez, academic director of Postgraduate”.

To this end, they have placed special emphasis on the main novelties of the URJC offer, three degrees that are strongly committed to innovation. All three have the clear objective of giving their students tools to face the professional demands of the XNUMXst century with guarantees.

Thus, the master's degree in Digital Teaching Competence and Computational Thinking wants to prepare future teachers for the technological challenges that they will encounter in the daily development of their teaching work. This degree is taught online.

Also in the educational field, the URJC incorporates the master's degree in Inclusive Education and Universal Design of Learning into its offer.

For its part, the master's degree in Innovation and Management of Gastronomic Companies will train its students in the latest trends in the sector and will provide them with the keys to gastronomic entrepreneurship. This degree is face-to-face.

In this edition, the counselors have counted on the diffusion on a screen of presentation videos of each of the master's degrees. According to Yolanda Pérez, the visitors have appreciated the “personalized attention received by the URJC team”. Pérez also points out that, at this fair, "people arrive with a fairly clear idea of ​​what they have and ask for very specific information".

The main doubts of the visitors have had to do with qualifying master's degrees (General Health Psychology and Adaptation to Teaching Psychology), degrees related to the field of industrial engineering and also about the master's degrees in the area of ​​communication and digital marketing.

The URJC has an official offer of 73 master's degrees and 12 doctoral programmes.

Sustainable Development, the main novelty in Own Teachings

The other big leg of the URJC proposal at the 2020 Postgraduate Forum is its Own Teachings. For this edition, the university, the main novelty in this chapter is the title of Expert in Sustainable Development Goals in the International Order, "in which professionals are qualified in the objectives of the 2030 agenda and are taught to implement them in companies and institutions”, explains Ana Sánchez, from the Office of the Vice President for Own Teaching and Affiliated Centers.

The URJC presents 59 degrees of this type. Training related to Health Sciences predominates, followed by Social and Legal Sciences, Engineering and Architecture and Sciences, to offer the best specialized training.

In addition, the URJC offers a total of 28 Continuing Education degrees.

The URJC stand at the 2020 Postgraduate Forum was inaugurated by the Vice-Rector for Own Teaching and Affiliated Centers, Lourdes Meléndez, and closed by the head of the Postgraduate Vice-Rectorate, Isabel Martínez.
