The economics Olympics are organized by the University of Alcalá, the Autonomous University of Madrid, the Rey Juan Carlos University, the Complutense University of Madrid and the Carlos III University. This is an academic competition for students who are enrolled in the 2nd year of Baccalaureate during the current academic year in centers of the Community of Madrid and neighboring provinces attached to Madrid universities for the purposes of the EVAU. This first local phase will allow knowing the best fifteen students who will go on to the national final phase that this year will take place at the University of Alcalá and where the three students selected by the different participating universities will compete.
