In the prizes awarded by the Centro de Estudios Garrigues, the student of the double degree in Business Administration and Law, Valeria López, has been a finalist in this edition.

On May 27, Valeria López Sáez, a student on the double degree in Business Administration and Law, participated in the XNUMXst Edition of the Young Lawyers Award granted by the Centro de Estudios Garrigues, becoming a finalist. The award ceremony took place at the Centro de Estudios Garrigues, in Alcobendas, with the presence of the Minister of Justice.

The objective is the resolution of a practical case in 5 hours, "it consisted of six parts, each one of them on a different legal field, (...) above all, in the field of corporate law, although there was also a bit of tax, labor and procedural. This is because the case that was raised was about a capital company and its operations, as well as the problems that it usually faces on a day-to-day basis," according to Valeria. Afterwards, there was an oral phase in which an issue related to the case was defended, "I chose arbitration because I think it is an interesting and topical issue, since it is becoming more and more popular, especially in the world of international business."

Valeria tells the reasons that encouraged her to present herself, "I really like challenges (...) and what better than a contest in which people from all corners of Spain who have the same aspirations as me participate. It was a very good opportunity to put to test everything I had been learning these years in the race."

For Valeria, going to the final has been one of her greatest achievements. "I think it will be decisive for my academic and work future. (...) It differentiates me from the rest of the people, it is an added value in the curriculum."

Regarding his experience at URJC, he highlights his teachers "who have not only been able to pass on their knowledge, but have also passed on their passion for their subject", her Erasmus in Krakow and the seminars and conferences she has attended. "I am very happy and proud to say that I have studied at King Juan Carlos."
