The URJC analyzes the effect of ETA terrorism in Spain today

“ETA terrorism, frightened society and victims. 10 years after the defeat of ETA” will take place from October 4 to 7 in the Fuenlabrada campus assembly hall and in online format.

Ten years have passed since that October 20, 2011, in which ETA announced that it was abandoning terrorism. For this reason, the URJC Vice-rectorate for University Extension, the URJC Santander Presdeia Chair and the Memorial Center for Victims of Terrorism are jointly organizing the Congress “Terrorism by ETA, frightened society and Victims. 10 years after the defeat of ETA”.

As Miguel Madueño, Secretary of the event, tells us, "this celebration aims to be a meeting point between professionals and researchers in which experiences and studies on such a traumatic chapter in our recent history will be shared."

In the Congress, which will be opened by Javier Ramos, Rector of the URJC, and José Manuel Azcona, Director of the event and professor at the URJC, different experts will participate who will deal with the subject from different perspectives: historical points of view, education, victims or audiovisual culture.

For 4 days, from October 4 to 7, both students and the general public will be summoned to the Fuenlabrada Campus auditorium where 2 ECTS will be awarded. On the other hand, this Congress will also have an online mode, through Teams, so it can be followed from any geographical point.

To participate you need prior registration via email: , and subsequently paying ten euros for registration.
