Knowing how to communicate properly in a situation with great difficulty will ensure that the reputation of your organization is not damaged. Knowing how to define a message, how to transmit it and to whom it is directed are some of the keys that can get us out of more than one jam.

The Faculty of Communication Sciences knows that acquiring knowledge and experience in this type of case is essential for the development of the professional careers of its students. For this reason, and thanks to funding from FCCOM's call for academic events, it has organized a Bootcamp and a War Room next Friday 24th in the Hall of Degrees of Departmental I on the Fuenlabrada Campus.

According to the organization, "this activity seeks to train its participants, through simulations and case studies, in crisis communication management, the dynamics of crisis committees and media training for institutional spokespersons."

BootCamps are an intensive, group, time-limited learning space that poses practical challenges to participants. In this case, those present will learn from the hands of two great professionals such as Bárbara Castillo-Abdul, Predoctoral Researcher of the Department of Communication Sciences and Sociology of the Rey Juan Carlos University, and Luis M. Romero-Rodríguez, Professor of the Department of Communication Sciences and Sociology of the URJC.

The other part will be made up of a War Room, a work model used to cover a specific message or campaign with the aim of improving teamwork and increasing efficiency in times of crisis. This method will be carried out by Clara Muela-Molina, Professor of the Department of Communication Sciences and Sociology, Salvador Perelló-Oliver, Professor of the Department of Communication Sciences and Sociology, and Ana María García-Arranz, also Professor of the Department of Communication Sciences and Sociology of the Rey Juan Carlos University.
