Held the first workshop of the EULIST Alliance

The meeting was held at the Leibiniz University in Hannover on September 29, 30 and October 1. This union of universities collaborates in the development of joint projects for teaching, research and transfer.

On May 28, 8 universities and the Rey Juan Carlos University signed the Memorandum of Understanding with which all of them commit to work together to achieve recognition of EULIST as a European Alliance of Universities by the European Commission and become a University European.

The first step of this alliance has been to meet in Hannover for 3 days to discern what actions will be carried out during the 2021-2022 academic year. Although the nine universities had already organized different activities before the meeting, this workshop has served to strengthen EULIST's commitment.

In the union of universities, more general knowledge centers can be differentiated, such as the Rey Juan Carlos University, and other universities more specialized in technical and technological knowledge. This is why the working groups will be divided into four: Campus, Study and teaching, Research and Outreach, and engagement and transfer.

On behalf of the Rey Juan Carlos University, the Rector Javier Ramos, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, María Luisa Humanes, and the Director of the Projects and International Relations Area, Pablo Salvadores, attended. María Luisa Humanes tells us that “the meeting has served to give the Alliance a boost”.

This is undoubtedly a step forward in the internationalization strategy of the Rey Juan Carlos University, and will open a great door of international experience to the entire University Community.
