The simulation of the Madrid Assembly arrives at the URJC

Posted by Jose Luis Martin Rojas

ASESP (Student Association of Parliamentary Simulations) presents the Parliamentary Simulation of the Community of Madrid, which will take place from October 26 to 29 at the Fuenlabrada campus of our university.

Like every year, this student association is preparing a parliamentary simulation on a specific issue that will take place at the Rey Juan Carlos University in person. After recreating the Catalan Parliament, the British House of Commons, doing a simulation on the Spanish Transition... this year it is the turn of the Assembly of the Community of Madrid.
Four intense days in which various and controversial issues will be discussed, various debates will be held on laws created by the students themselves and an attempt will be made to bring politics and oratory closer to all students.
In addition to the role of the deputy or parliamentarian, this type of event also has a large press team that will collect all possible information to prepare from interesting newspapers to eye-catching newscasts. There is also a protocol team that will ensure compliance with the measures against the Coronavirus, as well as that there are no problems during the event.
What is ASEP?
ASESP is a non-political association specialized in the organization of parliamentary simulations on various topics, whose objective is to offer spaces for debate, negotiation and knowledge by and for students. Through involvement outside the classroom, it aims, thanks to the skills learned from practical and enriching experiences, to promote the personal and professional self-realization of students, as well as to complement their training.
