The Royal Theater of Madrid offers the students of the Rey Juan Carlos University 20 places to participate in the program 'The University on stage'. The project, which takes place from November 3 to 25, 2021, aims to bring opera and its secrets to the students of the academic institution.

The work selected for this first semester is 'parthenope', by Georg Friedrich Händel, which will premiere on November 13 in the historic scenic space. The participants will learn from the inside the process of creating a great production this season with visits to the Royal Theater and attendance at rehearsals of the work. The activity is recognized with 1 ECTS credit and lasts 12 contact hours and 10 individual or group work.

The program is aimed at students with a great interest in the artistic and lyrical field, with an active and responsible attitude. Students from different URJC undergraduate or postgraduate degrees will be selected to share the activity with other students from the University of Alcalá and IE University.

Since its launch in 2010, 'The University on Stage' has allowed more than 14.000 students from 20 universities and art schools to discover the Royal Theater from the inside.
