I Week of Employability and Entrepreneurship

Posted by Redaction FCJS

Between February 21 and 24, the First Employability and Entrepreneurship Week of the FCJS will be held. There will be four days with various activities and with the participation of renowned and prestigious speakers and collaborators in their areas.

Next week, between February 21 and 24, the I Week of Employability and Entrepreneurship (I SEE) of the FCJS will be held, an activity that was scheduled for March 2020 and that had to be suspended, without being able to take place until now. These conferences are aimed at all the students of our degrees who are questioning where to go professionally, they will try to give a vision of the professional opportunities they have in all areas. The activities will be carried out in person, maintaining all current health measures, so capacity is limited and prior registration is necessary in order to have greater control.

The planning has been carried out differentiating between mornings and afternoons, in such a way that round tables will be held in the mornings with the assistance of representatives of different organizations, and more practical and specific workshops have been organized in the afternoons. Specifically, we will have 11 round tables, almost all replicated on both campuses, except for some that, due to the place where the degrees are taught, are only held on one of them. There will be round tables where they will talk about the opportunities that exist in the Public Administration (both campuses), others about the option of exits in the international market (Vicálvaro), of course in both venues the opportunities of the companies will be discussed in another table private, but trying to adjust the speakers to the profiles of the students of each campus, some specific round tables in Fuenlabrada with a diplomatic output and another on creative industries, and other entrepreneurship tables. For all this, they count on the participation of more than 50 speakers of great prestige and relevance in their sectors, but above all with an interest in young people and in the help they can provide them. The sessions will be divided between two campuses, so that on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 they will be held on the Madrid-Vicálvaro campus;  while on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 they will take place on the Fuenlabrada campus

But to try to give it a more practical and useful character, a series of workshops have been organized aimed at issues such as how to prepare a CV, or how to face a job interview, how to manage personal branding, the professional career or issues related to the motivation. There are also other workshops aimed at students of more specific degrees, such as one on how to face a job interview as sign language interpreters, others on new methodologies in education and another on creative writing.

The organization of this event is a great challenge due to the great heterogeneity that we have in our academic offer and our geographical dispersion, but we are convinced that it will be very useful for our students and we are excited about it.

We collect below the list of activities with links to information and registration of each of them:

We wait!
