Next Thursday will be the day of Ukraine at the URJC. The University has decided to bring together a hundred students of Ukrainian nationality, residing in Spain, in an act of solidarity that will be held in the auditorium of the Rectorate building to show that the URJC is with them at this time when their The country is suffering from the invasion of the Russian army, which began on February 24.

During the act there will be a reading of the preamble and the Declaration of the Charter of Human Rights of the United Nations. It will be led by a Ukrainian student, a Russian student and the president of the URJC Student Council.

In addition, the event will be attended by the Vice President of the Assembly of the Council of Europe, Antonio Gutiérrez Limones; the mayor of Aranjuez, María José Martínez de La Fuente; the mayor of Alcorcón, Natalia de Andrés; the mayor of Fuenlabrada, Javier Ayala; the mayor of Móstoles, Noelia Posse, the rector of the URJC, Javier Ramos and deans of faculty and directors of schools among many other members of the university community. After the reading, the rector will have a meeting with the Ukrainian student body to find out how they and their families are and their needs.
