A couple of weeks ago, the University was in luck with the latest successes in individual sports, and that is that the participating students in karate, fencing or chess climbed to the top of the podium.

As usual, the URJC women's teams have made the cut in these 2022 University Championships playing metal in different disciplines. Specifically, the futsal and rugby girls have recently revalidated the title of champions. For their part, the volleyball and soccer teams finished third in their competitions.

On March 18 at the Santo Domingo Municipal Pavilion in Alcorcón, the futsal girls beat the Complutense University in the final 10-1. For the third consecutive year, the URJC has achieved this title and will fight to become champions in the Spanish University Championship that will be held soon.

The women's rugby team also won first place in its discipline. And it is that, after reaching the final undefeated, they beat the Complutense University by 19-24 to climb to the top of the podium. The meeting held at the Central de la UCM honored the great season they had and that they hope to continue doing in the next CEU.

Without getting out of the box, women's soccer and volleyball won the bronze medal in their disciplines. A great result for these girls who will fight to do well in their respective Spanish University Championships.

On the other hand, the men's teams of the Rey Juan Carlos University have also achieved great results. After an even first half, the basketball boys ended up being defeated by the Polytechnic University with a result of 82-70. This second place will serve them to attend the CEU on behalf of Madrid. They have not had the same luck in men's handball, and it is that when they fell in the semifinals against UPM (the champions), they have not obtained a place to attend the Spanish Championship.
