The Office of the Vice President for Innovation, Transfer and Relations with Companies, in its firm intention to support and encourage researchers in their important work of transfer, has promoted the participation of the URJC in the National Network of Excellence for Research in Cybersecurity (RENIC) of which our institution is a founding member. RENIC promotes technological development, innovation, the transfer of knowledge and technology to industry, as well as the development of R&D projects in the cybersecurity sector in Spain.

RENIC, which has more than 200 members and 6 working groups focused on different initiatives of interest within the cybersecurity landscape, offers the URJC access to the European cybersecurity network 'European Cyber Security Organisation' (ECSO). This association of the European Commission for the implementation of the Public-Private Association of Cybersecurity, ensures a cyber-resistant and strategically autonomous digital Europe, as well as greater European digital sovereignty, at an economic, social, political and technological level.

Professor Marta Beltrán is responsible for coordinating this participation, which supports the recovery of Europe's society and economy through its digital transformation within the context of the 'Next Generation' Europe.
