Every May 28th the International Day of Action for Women's Health is celebrated and the Rey Juan Carlos University wanted to show its commitment by holding the online conference '28M-2022 – Health in equality'.

With these presentations, the Equality Unit, in collaboration with the Green Office and the Healthy University Program, aims to raise awareness of the different aspects that affect women's health through dissemination and awareness of the university community.

On the one hand, today, Monday, May 23, from 13:30 p.m. to 15:30 p.m., the presentation of Mwezi Kit takes place, a project created by three URJC students that aims to contribute to improving the menstrual hygiene of girls from Tanzania. Irene Alegre and Lucía Aguilar will tell how they embarked on this initiative and how the NGO with which they are going to implement it works.

In addition, the representatives of Mwezi Kit will explain the activities that they are promoting for the university community of Madrid in order to give visibility to menstruation. Among these actions is the announcement of the contest 'Actions to make menstruation visible' in which students and former students of the Rey Juan Carlos University can participate. Students who wish to enroll in this activity must do so through this link and the PAS and PDI in this other.

On the other hand, tomorrow, Tuesday, May 24, from 12:00 to 14:00 p.m., the psychologist Silvia Cruz and the doctor specialized in Gynaecology, Natalia Mesa, will offer the presentation 'Self-care and emotional support in breast cancer processes'.
