The Rey Juan Carlos University and the Higher Sports Council (CSD) have reached an agreement to carry out joint actions in matters of training, research and dissemination within the sports field.

“These institutions share common objectives, both parties are interested in establishing a collaboration in the educational, scientific and technical fields of common interest, including participation in joint projects, both nationally and internationally”, explains Fernando Enrique García Muiña, Vice-rector of Innovation, Transfer and Relations with Companies.

The agreement, in the form of a General Action Protocol, will be signed today, May 27, at the CSD headquarters at 10:00 a.m. Both the Higher Sports Council and the Rey Juan Carlos University have complementary scientific and technical human resources, which facilitates collaboration between these entities.

The Vice Chancellor for Innovation, Transfer and Relations with Companies of the URJC, points out that the University seeks to "establish a framework of action for collaboration with the CSD in activities of scientific and technological support and collaboration on specific topics and other activities of common interest related to training and research in the sports field.

The most outstanding aspect that the students of the Rey Juan Carlos University will be able to take advantage of will be having a collaboration space of great value for their training. And it is that the teaching and research staff that participate in the projects with the CSD will be able to spread among their students the technological advances and knowledge in general developed. They will also be able to benefit from the promotion of the development of external internships in the institution.

"This agreement is an example of public-public collaboration at the highest level with the State Administration that allows the University to develop scientific and technological projects of the first magnitude with a notable social and economic impact," says Fernando García Muiña.
