The award ceremony for the Extraordinary Degree and Double Awards is one of the main academic acts of a university during a course.
After having to postpone those corresponding to the last two years, this week, finally, the students with the best university records have seen their efforts recognized in a double awards ceremony that took place on Wednesday and Thursday. The two events were attended by students and their families in what represents another step towards normality in university life.
The ceremonies were held in the Assembly Hall of the Rectorate building on the Móstoles campus. On Wednesday 21, a total of 181 'extraordinary' students belonging to the promotion 19/20 received their scholarships from the rector, the general secretary and the vice-rector for Students. On behalf of the students, the student Luana Gómez Negro, holder of the best record of the year and graduated from the Fashion Design and Management degree, took the floor.
In the event on Thursday 22, 217 students from the promotion 20/21 received their scholarship. On this occasion, who spoke on behalf of the student body was the student Alberto Monreal Escolano, holder of the best record and graduated from Fine Arts.
Both events have been organized by the Office of the Vice President for Students, who have had the help of students who have collaborated in setting up the events.
