On Friday morning, the Rey Juan Carlos University and the Royal Tapestry Factory (RFT) have signed a contract by which they embark on a research project

that will allow recycling the surplus water from the washing of tapestries.

The agreement has been signed by the vice-rector for Innovation of the URJC, Fernando García Muïña, and the general director of the RFT, Alejandro Klecker de Elizalde

"Through this joint research, the current RFT facilities will continue to evolve towards a cleaner and more sustainable XNUMXst Century Factory in the field of wastewater treatment," according to the RFT.

The project will be carried out in two phases. The first will consist of a complete analysis of the cleaning water and the selection of the most appropriate technologies for its purification and reuse. The second phase will allow the selection of engineering to install the chosen technology.
