Service Engineering proposes an integrated vision of the company that is of special interest to SMEs and 'Startups'. With the aim of publicizing this approach, the URJC High Performance Software Engineering and Services group answered the call from Las Rozas City Council.
“We have gone to count our lines of research”, explains Esperanza Marcos, principal investigator of the group, “we work in Service Engineering as a transdisciplinary group, with computer science researchers, economics and business people and profiles more related to the humanities, such as those of sociology or psychology”, he adds.
The group works on different solutions to offer a global approach to services for SMEs. In addition, its managers have taken advantage of the invitation to present their own methodology that mainly attends to the user experience and the internal processes of the firms, especially indicated for small companies.
"We have received quite good feedback, quite a few people came to congratulate me and we contacted several companies that are interested in what we do," explains Esperanza Marcos.
During the group's presentation, the offer that the URJC has dedicated to Service Engineering was also discussed. For Esperanza Marcos, participating in these types of forums is important and that the university “supports and moves and makes the work of the research groups visible”. This task falls to the University in the Vice President for Innovation, which manages the presence of research groups in the different forums for transferring knowledge to society.
A new occasion in which the URJC has proven to be capable of offering innovative solutions and proposals to boost the business fabric of the region.
