At the end of this week, the AERA Conference will address the issue of renewable energy and its application in the field of Engineering with the presentation of various experts.

On the 13th and 14th of this week, the Conference on Advances in Renewable Energies and their Applications in Engineering will be held, organized by URJC professors Imene Yahyaoui and Joaquín Vaquero López. 

The event, which will be held at the Móstoles Campus, is a forum for researchers, academics, scientists and industry professionals from around the world to discuss the latest advances in the fields of renewable energies and their different forms of application in the engineering.  

Basically, the conference will consist of various keynote speeches by various experts, which will be divided between the two days.  

On Thursday the 13th, Elvira García Márquez, from the SENER group, will begin the cycle of presentations with a talk on the combination of technology and innovation for a sustainable future. 

In addition, the professors from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), José Ignacio Sarasua Moreno and Araceli Hernández Bayo, will address the issue of Smart Grids, zero energy buildings and sustainable cities. 

Lucas Frizera Encarnaçao, from the Federal University of the Holy Spirit in Brazil, will also comment on the future of electricity networks.  

On Friday, URJC professor María Sánchez, from the area of ​​Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, will be in charge of starting the presentations. Her intervention will focus on supercapacitors and carbon fiber batteries for electric vehicles.  

Next, David Puron, from the Barbara IOT Company, will talk about the application of Edge Computing in renewable energies. Gerardo Medrano Arana, from Empresa Norvento, will focus on commenting on the development of converters to produce distributed energy, various forms of storage and microgrids. 

Finally, David Rodríguez, from the Schneider Electric Company, will talk about distributed resources and the role of the prosumer, as well as commenting on Microgrid technology.
