The Rey Juan Carlos University commemorates its 25th anniversary with the celebration of one of the most emblematic events in Fuenlabrada, the XXIV Half Marathon and the XI 10K.
The races will take place this Sunday, October 16, at 10:00 a.m., and will bring together the residents of Fuenlabrada with the most athletic students of the URJC.
The event, organized by the Sports Board of the Fuenlabrada City Council and the Rey Juan Carlos University, will take place at the Raúl González Blanco Stadium. This facility is located on the Fuenlabrada Campus of the same University.
Both distances take place on a circuit approved by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation, starting and finishing on the stadium's athletics tracks. In the case of the Half Marathon, the route needs to go around twice.
Registration to participate will be open until Thursday, October 13 or until the 1.500 bibs available through the portal are exhausted RockTheSport. The prices are 14 euros in the case of the Half Marathon and 10 in the 10K.
Solidarity event
The two races have a charitable character and all the money collected from the registrations will be used for the development of projects that facilitate access to the practice of sports activities for people with functional diversity in Fuenlabrada.
In last year's edition, the victory in the long distance went to Fran de León, who completed the 21,097 meters in a time of 1:14:27, while the fastest in the 10K was Daniel Ruiz, with 35 minutes.
