An activity on sexual and gender violence in the URJC

On October 14 from 17:00 p.m. to 19:00 p.m., the URJC will host a conference on sexual and gender-based violence.

This activity aims to respond to the existing training deficit necessary to comprehensively undertake prevention, awareness and care for victims of sexual and gender-based violence. To this end, an attempt will be made to inform about the different types of sexual violence, including not only the most visible, such as assaults and sexual abuse, but also others that are less obvious, and yet very widespread, such as symbolic sexual violence through the media. of communication or economic violence.

"Under the title The comprehensive protection of sexual freedom through LO 10/2022: challenges and challenges, I want to examine the reform that has just been carried out in the Spanish legal system, whose purpose is no longer that of " protect "sexual freedom, but to guarantee its exercise" explains María Acale, Professor of Criminal Law at the University of Cádiz.

This conference, which is recognized with 0.1 ECTS, will be developed through teams to facilitate access to all interested people. In addition, it will have the intervention of the academic directors of the Own Title, Diana Fernández Romero, Mercedes Ruiz Garijo and with the participation of Sonia Nuñez Puente, all teachers of the URJC.
