The GLocal Res research group is preparing a seminar with three spaced dates to address the issue of energy transition, through the proposals of the European Union.

The Rey Juan Carlos University hosts a seminar to comment on the role of the European Union and its ability to carry out the challenges and opportunities necessary to achieve a correct energy transition.

The Seminar, organized by the GLocal Res research group, is divided into three different days depending on the theme: October 18, November 16 and November 30. All the talks will take place at the URJC campus in Madrid (Vicálvaro).

The first day of the seminar will be today, Tuesday, October 18, and will delve into the subject of the European energy market and the necessary transition towards a more sustainable world. More specifically, it will be professors Julio González (UCM), Javier Guillén (URJC), Susana Galera (URJC) and Diego Rodríguez (UCM) who will deal with the matter.

To end the first session of the seminar, Mercedes Ballesteros, from the CIEMAT Department of Energy, will develop in a presentation the role of technology as a facilitator and conditioner of the changes necessary for a more sustainable energy.

The second date of the seminar, which will be on November 16, will serve to deal with decarbonization and the new energy model proposed by the European Union. In this second session, professors Iñigo del Guayo (UAL), Isabel González (UMA) and Mariano Bacigalupo (UNED) will intervene. In addition, the professionals Fernando Ferrando, from the Fundación Renovables, and Pedro Puche, from the SAS company, will address the issue from a position within the labor market.

Finally, the third day will take place on November 30 and the main theme will be energy in the city and the new collective services that will be deployed in the future. On this occasion, professors Jesús del Olmo (UAH), Mª Jesús Delgado (URJC) and Alfredo Cabezas (URJC) will be in charge of addressing the issue.

In this last session, Javier Sigüenza, from ADHAC; Armando Uriarte, from Madrid Subterra, and Laura Castañares, from Aquasigma, will be the professionals who will give a real perspective on energy problems and new proposals from a business perspective.
