La culture is the great protagonist of the week that begins today for the entire university community. The XNUMXst Cultural Week of the Rey Juan Carlos University was born with the aim of bringing different manifestations and forms of artistic expression closer to all the people who make up the URJC, especially the student body.

From October 24 to 28, the Alcorcón, Fuenlabrada and Madrid campuses will host fashion shows, live painting, plays, dance performances, film monographs or talks on current issues.

“The main objective is to give visibility to the cultural activities of the university and to the degrees that have to do with art and culture”, indicates Javier Otero, academic director of Culture at the URJC.

The Week has a program in which both "people at home and people from outside" have a leading role. Among the participants, the presence stands out, among others, of the National Prize for Dramatic Literature 2022, Josep María Miró.

All activities are free and open to everyone. "With this Week of Culture we seek to integrate students more and more with the activities of the university," says Otero.

Although in this first edition it has not been possible to reach all the campuses, the goal is for this cultural week to last and for future editions to also include activities in Móstoles and Aranjuez.

Aranjuez, future destination of the degrees that have to do with Art and Culture, will be "in the future, one of the main venues of this event" adds Javier Otero.

The URJC opens its XNUMXst Cultural Week, coinciding with its XNUMXth Anniversary, in what is an opportunity to learn more about the university and the culture that is produced in it.
