HackOn is an annual event in which cybersecurity is addressed from different points of view and at all levels. In it will be present professionals of the highest level and leading organizations that will help attendees to enter the world of cybersecurity. For this, during the event, there will be talks, questions and answers or practical activities such as and CTFs that allow participants to practice all the knowledge acquired.

In addition, they assure from the organization that they will try to create a gap for people who are starting out, so that they find in HackOn an environment in which to share, learn and meet people who help them enter the world of cybersecurity.

The HackOn is an event that has been held since 2019 and in which more than 1.000 people have already participated. “Anyone who wants to can attend. There will not only be technical presentations, but there will also be simpler workshops for those people who are just starting out" explains Jesús Ramírez, coordinator of HackOn 2023. "One of the novelties that there will be this year are the workshops for graduates. People who have just graduated will be able to explain to those who are starting out what cybersecurity consists of. Since there are few people who have graduated with this degree, they will be able to teach all their knowledge to the new generations”, says Ramírez.

More than 170 people are registered for the activity, and apart from being able to learn about issues related to cybersecurity, cybercrime, cyberintelligence or digital law, students will have the opportunity to speak face to face with the companies in which they will be able to carry out their future work . "Companies will have a stand where attendees can go to meet them or request their practices in them" adds the coordinator.

Finally, a CTF competition will be held from February 13 to February 15 in which there will be prizes for the top ten finishers. The registration They are already open and will last until February 14, with the exception of the CTF that will end on February 11. In addition, if you are a URJC student, 0,25 ECTS will be awarded for attending the talks and 0,1 ECTS for each workshop.
