The 8th edition of the GameGen is celebrated

The GameGen is a video game conference organized by Virtual Soul, an association founded and integrated by students of the degree in Video Game Design and Development from the Rey Juan Carlos University. During the activity, attendees will be able to attend presentations in which they will learn about the creation and development of video games.

“GameGen is the biggest event organized by our association, Virtual Soul, and we celebrate its eighth edition this year. It is a great opportunity to learn first-hand about the ins and outs of this world and to be able to deal first-hand with professionals and experts in the sector”, declares the association.

“Not only will we have presentations, but several contests will take place. A new GameGen also means a new GameJam, that is to say, a video game creation fair in which a theme is provided for the creation of a video game, and a GameCept contest, which is very similar, since it is given to the participants a theme and they must design a character around it ”they explain from Virtual Soul.

On the other hand, from the association they confirm that during the congress there will be two eSports tournaments in which two prizes will be awarded. The first will be a Smash Bros Ultimate tournament and the second Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. “Of course, we can't forget about the demos. This year six studios will show the fruit of their work at the event and attendees will have the opportunity to test them, speak directly with those involved in the project and, if they wish, participate in a round table with them to ask them in depth about their games. ” explains the association.

Finally, from Virtual Soul they invite everyone who is interested in the world of video games to attend the event, "whether you are a student of the degree or not, you will enjoy digital entertainment" they add.
