March 8 is International Women's Day. This day serves to make visible the feminist struggle in order to continue advancing when it comes to achieving real and effective equality. The Rey Juan Carlos University, through its Unit created for this purpose, and within the framework of 8M, has programmed two activities in which they will address two important elements: on the one hand, on March 13 a conference will take place to explain and explain he II Equality Plan of the URJC, approved at the end of last year and with which the Rey Juan Carlos University is endowed with a roadmap to help ensure the institution, in addition, as they point out from the Unit, "a general review of the scope and the need for these plans in the field of labor relations in compliance with current regulations and will be made visible in particular for the importance of the participation of the entire university community and the social part in the preparation and monitoring of the II Plan for Equality of Employment the URJC”.

On the other hand, the session will be held 'Warning signs of an abusive relationship', in which there will be the testimony of women survivors of gender violence from the Ana Bella Foundation. They will contribute, from their personal experience, and from shared knowledge, alarm keys to identify an abusive partner relationship and will highlight the importance of reporting in situations of gender violence.

The URJC joins its voice to the Spanish university community

The Rey Juan Carlos University endorses the manifestos published by CRUE Spanish Universities and Network of Gender Equality Units for University Excellence. The URJC thus wants to join forces to, among all of us, contribute to achieving real and effective equality between men and women.
