Last March, URJCmun, the Model United Nations of the Rey Juan Carlos University participated in WorldMUN, the Model United Nations of Harvard University held in Paris.

WorldMUN stands out for being the MUN with the greatest international diversity in the world and the largest event of this type outside the United States and Canada.

Through its munCLUB activity, URJCmun organized a delegation of 28 participating students. On this trip, the students have had the opportunity to debate in English through lively and academic debates, various social events and lectures on different topics.

During the event, the representation of the URJC "was excellent to the point that one of our students, Mario Sanz, won an honorable mention representing Somalia in the 'Social, Cultural, Humanitarian Committee', being the only Spaniard to be awarded”, they point out from URJCmun. For Mario, “this experience could not have been more enriching, since we have had the opportunity to debate in an international environment on the great global challenges. As for the award, it has once again shown me that with effort and enthusiasm everything can be achieved”.

In the words of Nair Robleda and Leyre Rodríguez, 'Head Delegates' of our delegation “opportunities like this allow us to live experiences beyond the purely academic, as well as getting to know Paris and people from different corners of the world”.

After closing this brilliant participation, URJCmun has already begun to organize the XII edition of URJCmun, the most massive simulation in Europe, which will take place next year.
