Today, Monday May 8, the III Open Days of the International Doctoral School of the URJC are celebrated.

In them, all postgraduate students who are interested in continuing their academic career will be able to find out how to start their career in doctoral studies.

Starting at 17:30 p.m. in the afternoon, those responsible for the 11 doctoral programs offered by the URJC in all areas of knowledge, will present their contents and answer all the questions that attendees need to clarify.

As a preliminary, the first of the sessions will begin at 17:00 p.m. and will address the main and general aspects of doctoral studies. It will be the EID staff themselves who will explain the steps to follow for access to the highest level of university education.

All sessions are held through the Teams platform and the links are available on the URJC events page: III Open Days of the EID

According to Pilar Abad, director of the International Doctoral School, these studies "are the highest academic degree, a very complete training to become a researcher and develop a career in the Academy or in the company."

Doctoral programs "promote competencies and skills related to quality scientific research and allow interaction with other national and international researchers," says Abad. "The students of these programs are the cornerstone of future research, they will be the response to current and upcoming global challenges, such as the climate crisis," the EID director qualifies.
