PhD students share their research experience

Yesterday, Wednesday May 31, the URJC International Doctoral School held its 'IV EID Congress' on the Móstoles campus early in the morning.  

The protagonists of the meeting have been the doctoral students themselves from the different research branches, who have shared experiences and impressions during this academic stage. 160 students attended the event, presenting 43 oral communications and 31 posters. 

More specifically, "the Congress wanted to provide a framework for students to share their research, exchange knowledge, and establish connections with other trainee researchers and senior researchers in their respective fields," says Pilar Abad, director of the EID. 

The IV EID URJC Congress has had professors from other universities and research centers who have provided important keys for the development of the projects. One of them has been Ignasi Labastida, delegate of the Rector for Open Science of the University of Barcelona, ​​who has commented on the importance of free access to scientific knowledge. 

Next, the professor of the Carlos III University, Pablo Simón, took the floor, who commented on the basic skills for scientific dissemination from his experience, since he works both in the academic field and in various print and audiovisual media. 

For her part, Adriana Izquierdo, member of the URJC Research Ethics Committee, explained the importance of good practices and ethical criteria when working from the scientific field.

In addition, the heads of the URJC Healthy University Program, Ainhoa ​​Romero and Silvia Cruz, were present.

The rector of the URJC, Javier Ramos, has been in charge of closing the event together with the director of the EID, Pilar Abad.
