Senior University graduates Senior University graduates

Several students from the URJC program for people over 50 celebrate their graduation on the Móstoles campus.

At 5 pm yesterday, 130 students from the University for the Elderly program graduated in the Assembly Hall of the Rector's Office building on the Móstoles campus.  

The students belong to the first and second cycle of the General Program of the University for the Elderly URJC, corresponding to the XVIII promotion.  

The diplomas were delivered by the rector of the URJC, Javier Ramos, the Vice-rector for Campus Community, Culture and Sports, Mercedes del Hoyo Hurtado, the director of the University for the Elderly, José Manuel Azcona and Professor Julio Ramiro Bargueño. 

In addition, students and teachers from both cycles took the floor to share their experience and extol the motivation necessary to complete these studies.  

The director of the University for the Elderly, José Manuel Azcona, pointed out "the pride, gratitude and support felt during these courses" after commenting on the main activities and seminars held this academic year.

URJC Senior University 

This Study Program is aimed at people over the age of fifty who maintain the desire to acquire new knowledge and are open to new experiences and personal satisfaction. Another fundamental requirement is to have an electronic device with internet access. 

The program, which is taught at the different URJC campuses, consists of two cycles. The first is structured in three academic years that must be passed to enroll in the second cycle, made up of two courses. In total, the University for the Elderly has 5 academic courses and each subject has an extension of 30 hours, divided into 15 sessions. There are 75 places on each campus and class hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:00 p.m. to 19:00 p.m.
