Today, Tuesday June 27, the Rey Juan Carlos University celebrates the first edition of the workshop 'Position your Curriculum in front of others', with the collaboration of Santander Scholarships.

The event will take place online through Teams, between 16:00 p.m. and 18:00 p.m. in the afternoon.

The initiative, organized by the URJC External Practices and Employment Unit, "intends to make students see the importance of their positioning in social networks and contacts, as well as ways of being ahead of other curricula". explains Roberto Maderuelo, a member of the Unit.

An important nuance that Maderuelo has added and that will be discussed in the workshop is “the difference between using social networks at a recreational level and using them at a professional level. It is important to be aware that recruitment is moving a lot through professional networks such as Linkedin and it is important to see what image we show there, as well as knowing how to differentiate yourself from other CVs”.

Likewise, the event is organized in collaboration with URJC Alumni, included within the University Information and Orientation Service. Mariano Sánchez, a member of this body, has highlighted the need for these acts to “generate employability among our students and show a series of techniques that help improve the students' CVs. In addition, the importance of the image we show on social networks and the added value of having a personal brand will be discussed”.

Another point that will be addressed at the meeting will be the importance of "creating good networking, for which we have the intervention of Gorka Goikoetxea Egizabal," says Sánchez. Due to its characteristics, the event is aimed at students of the last courses and graduates of the URJC.

For those who cannot attend today's event, the same workshop will be repeated on June 29, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. For more information about the event, you can consult the following link: https://eventos.urjc.es/95220/detail/taller-posiciona-tu-curriculum-frente-a-los-demas.html
