From the moment of its creation, the university master's degree in Musical Creation, Interpretation and Research has provided a novel methodology that cannot be found in any other degree in Spanish universities, neither public nor private.

It also contributes to research in different fields of science and knowledge. It is committed to research from artistic creation, valuing music as art, but also as research. The musician as creator/performer/researcher. Stimulates the development of musical creation, in particular, and artistic creation, in general, as well as the empowerment in various areas related to programming, the management of musical activities and the encouragement of a critical spirit that can enrich the selection of the contents of quality by students. You also learn to disseminate music through learning that takes place in the media.

For this reason, the training itinerary of this master's degree provides knowledge related to research methodology based on creation, musical production and performing arts, orchestra conducting or pedagogy and education in musical creation and interpretation. In the same way, teaching is continuously updated with the adaptation of music to new technologies and digital and audiovisual media, in addition to the approach to musical theater, among other specialties that are developed during a school year. At the end of the classes, the student must develop a final master's project that will demonstrate everything learned in this degree.

The recommended admission profile is that of students from higher music conservatories as well as students from degrees related to music or performing arts. The master's degree is taught at the Quintana headquarters, one of the URJC centers located in the heart of the Spanish capital, where the greatest cultural activity is concentrated so that students establish direct contact with the main stages of Madrid.
