This Saturday there is class on the Fuenlabrada campus, although not the students but the teachers will go to this class to learn about the innovative educational practices that several speakers from all over Spain will share at the 'First Meeting of teachers for inclusion and educational improvement' . The event is organized by the CISO-COM-CIU group in collaboration with the group of teachers at all levels, DIME.
The objective of this meeting, which will take place throughout the day, is, as explained by the professor of the Social Sciences Didactics Area, Pedro César Mellado Moreno, “to share experiences of teaching innovation aimed at inclusion.” Mellado Moreno gives as an example the workshop on the design and evaluation of learning experiences, “present in the new LOMLOE curriculum,” he adds.
A total of 51 innovative proposals will be analyzed and debated. These are grouped into 7 thematic axes that have to do with concepts such as quality public education, the right to a decent teaching profession, inclusive education, gender equality, child well-being and environmental protection.
More than 80 teachers from all over Spain are expected to participate, but, adds Pedro César Mellado Moreno, “it is open to the participation of families with school-age sons and daughters.”
The 'First Meeting of teachers for inclusion and educational improvement' has the collaboration of the educational information portal, 'Education 3.0'.
