This afternoon, the vice-rector for Research, Innovation and Transfer, Fernando García Muiña and the president of the Ibero-American Sports Council and Minister of Sports of Ecuador, Juan Sebastián Palacios Muñoz, have signed an agreement by which both institutions commit to collaborating in sports related topics.

Specifically, the URJC and the CID will work together to launch an Evaluation and Impact Unit of the Sports Indicators Plan for Sustainable Development in Ibero-America and the Coordination of the Ibero-American Women and Sports Network.

The person who will be in charge of this work, from the point of view of consulting and advisory services, will be the team from the URJC Sports Sciences Research Center, with Professor Alfonso Jiménez Gutiérrez at the head, as principal investigator.

For García Muiña, “this project materializes the URJC's commitment to the Ibero-American world, contributing to the sustainable development of the region.”

The project is expected to be developed for a total time of 15 months.
