The new infrastructure can be connected to the network or to energy equipment that is located in a simulated house at the Technological Support Center of the Rey Juan Carlos University (CAT).

Raul Garcia Hemonnet

Imene Yahyaoui, professor of the Electronic Technology and IP Area of the project 'Study Program for Electrical Microgrids Destined to Energy and Electrical Management (PROEMRED)', in which the construction of this plant is framed, points out that the infrastructure has “a power 4 kilowatts”. Yahyaoui belongs to the high-performance research group in Renewable Energy Applications and Advanced Environment Monitoring at the URJC.

The teacher does not want to miss the opportunity to thank “the support of the CAT and the Technical Office of the URJC (highlighting the role of Antonio Toribio, engineer of said service), which from the first moment they have shown, both when requesting "the project and the start-up of the plant, I also want to remember the help of the management of the Móstoles campus and the Smart E2 chair."

Yahyaoui has indicated that the first phase of this project is to see its operation in its connection to the network and the loads of the simulated house of the CAT 'mobile home' and has announced that the second phase will be "that all electrical consumption of said installation come from the photovoltaic source.”

The teacher also added that, as it is a research project, “all the data is available to the students both to prepare subjects and for other studies.”

An infrastructure that, from now on, will serve to delve deeper into the operation of photovoltaic sources in the energy supply and that will support future research.
