EULiST is underway. A total of 45 people from the 10 universities that make up the alliance have met in the capital of Slovakia to begin to implement the different actions in the different areas.

The meeting has served to begin to shape the European project, to which the Commission recently granted a total financing of 14 million euros, but also the management of the Alliance, “which goes far beyond the project,” says Pablo Salvadores, director of the Projects and International Relations Area, who led the URJC delegation in Bratislava. The team was completed with the presence of Juan Manuel García Camus, local coordinator of EULiST and Santiago Gómez, academic director of Innovation and Transfer. They were also accompanied by the student representative on the Government Council, Óscar Regina Costilla.

The meeting also served to prepare the 'political' meeting in which the 10 rectors will meet in Hannover on November 2 and 3, where the actions to be carried out by EULiST, at the highest level, will be discussed.

The meeting also had a large presence of students from all EULiST member universities.

“The challenge is very big. A long-term project,” says Pablo Salvadores, who adds, quoting the vice president of the European Commission, Margaritis Schinás, “It is the largest transformation process of European higher education in the last 30 years.” EULiST represents an unprecedented collaboration between European universities that covers all areas, from joint research projects to, in the future, the possibility of starting a degree at one university and completing it at another.
