Knowing what to do with money once this age has passed, how to invest it or what to spend it on are some of the keys to this book, a project in which both the URJC and MAD Fin Tech, a cluster promoting technological finance in Madrid, participate. The preparation of this book stems from the agreement signed in May of last year between the two entities.
The event was attended by Javier Ramos, rector of the URJC, and Salvador Molina, president of MAD Fin Tech. In addition, Rocío Albert, Councilor of Economy of the Community of Madrid, attended the presentation; Miguel Cuerdo, dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences; Nuria López, president of the cluster's 'Silver Economy' Commission; and Professor Sonia de Paz, editorial director of the work and coordinator of the presentation.
The same professor has been in charge of coordinating the publication, where there are a total of 23 authors who come from the academic world, in addition to being the co-author of the first chapter, explaining that the book has "an informative nature, not exempt from rigor." ”. “We wanted to collect the state of the art of a transcendental issue for everything, such as the contribution of our people over 55 years of age to the economy and, therefore, to society,” declared the professor.
According to Sonia de la Paz, the main objective of the work is “to highlight the importance of the economic role of seniors as longevity increases, and the visibility and importance of such an important social group is adjusted,” showing the importance of the project and its impact today.
