Today, Tuesday, November 7 at 16:00 p.m., the International Doctoral School (EID) of the URJC will welcome new postgraduate students at the 'Introduction to Doctoral Studies Day.

In this edition, the symposium will focus on explaining the new modifications introduced by the new Royal Decree 576/2023 published on July 18, 2023 and which is applied for the first time in this academic year. 

Along these same lines, Pilar Abad, director of the EID, points out some of the most important changes of Royal Decree 576/2023 for new students: “it changes the maximum length of stay to complete the doctoral thesis, it is necessary that the first year also A personal training plan is prepared and it will be necessary to have at least two expert reports prior to depositing the thesis.

For the rest of the students, that is, for people previously enrolled in doctoral studies at the EID, the requirement of two expert reports based on the theses defended in July 2024 also applies.   

The new Royal Decree also includes modifications regarding international mention, industrial mention and international joint guardianship.

The Conference is aimed at all members of the Doctoral School, who can attend in person or online through a conference in direct.
