The URJC, the first university in Madrid in employability

The Rey Juan Carlos University is the first university in the Community of Madrid in employability in the 1st, 2nd and 4th year after finishing the studies and the seventh in Spain, among the 47 face-to-face public universities. This is confirmed by the social security affiliation indicators of university graduates, published on November 20, by the Ministry of Universities. The rector, Javier Ramos, communicated these results to the Governing Council of the URJC, during its meeting today.

The URJC also has a membership rate 10 percentage points higher than the average of Madrid's public universities, having passed a year since the graduation of its graduates. The affiliation rate is the percentage relationship between the number of university graduates registered with Social Security at the established time and the total number of university graduates.

For Javier Ramos, the causes of these good results are mainly three: the quality and involvement of the teachers, the existence of study plans adapted to the needs of society and the collaboration with the different actors in the university environment. Ramos has also pointed out that these results “are a certificate, a public verification of that work, that social impact that the Rey Juan Carlos University has on our environment. If you have a family member who wants to be important in the future of Spanish society, if you want to have an impact and transform our environment, the best place where you can train is the URJC.”

Leadership in all branches of knowledge

If each of the branches of knowledge is taken into account, the Rey Juan Carlos University is the first university in the region as follows:

In Engineering and Architecture it is the first in the Community of Madrid in employability of our students in the 1st, 3rd and 4th year after graduation. At the national level, the URJC occupies second position in the 3rd year.

In Sciences it is the first at the regional level, providing employment to students in the 1st, 2nd and 4th year after having finished the university stage. Rey Juan Carlos is the second university in Spain to provide employment to the 1st year after graduation.

In Arts and Humanities, the URJC is the first in Madrid to employ its students in the 1st, 2nd and 4th year after completing their studies. At the national level, the University is in fifth position in the 4th year of graduation.

In Health Sciences, the Rey Juan Carlos University is the first in the Community of Madrid in the affiliation rate of its graduates in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year after finishing the degree and we occupy the sixth national position in the 4th year after having finished .

In Social and Legal Sciences, the URJC is the first in the regional context in affiliation rate in the 2nd year after graduation.
