The University as a promoter of entrepreneurship

These first days of innovation will focus on how the University should orient itself towards entrepreneurship. In addition, the event will also feature a 'round table' where the programs of innovative companies in the Community of Madrid and its surroundings will be discussed.

Among the speakers we find figures such as Miguel Morales, member of the high-performance research group in open innovation at the URJC who will talk about economic management in the world of startups and technology-based companies. Rodrigo del Prado, former executive director of the company 'BQ', will also speak at the event to explain entrepreneurship and technology transfer at the university.

The symposium has been organized by the professor of the area of ​​Financial Economics and Accounting of the URJC, Francisco Javier Rodríguez Barea, who states that: “The organization of these conferences has been complex but exciting at the same time, the important thing is to make things occur.”

The event “aims to promote and motivate the interest of our university community towards innovation, with presentations by relevant CEOs such as the director of 'Navilens', Javier Pita, or Emilio Corchado, creator of 'Startup Ole' as stated by Rodríguez Varea.

The seminar on innovation and entrepreneurship will be managed through this form. From the management of the event they state that: “we hope to capture the interest of entrepreneurs, students and professors of the URJC, for this reason we have chosen to host the event in the room with the largest capacity on the Madrid-Vicálvaro campus.
