The Rey Juan Carlos University and the Lefebvre company yesterday presented the URJC-Lefebvre Chair of Business Law and Technology Applied to Best Legal Practices. The event, which was held on the Vicálvaro campus, was chaired by the rector of the University, Javier Ramos.

The program focuses on providing students and industry professionals with the essential skills and knowledge they need to enter the world of business law and emerging technology, including artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data. and legal practices impacted by new technological capabilities.

The project aims to explore the confluence between the areas of technology, business law and companies. As well as, foster a global vision, to understand how law and technology interact in different contexts and jurisdictions around the world.

From the management of Lefebvre they highlight the importance of this initiative, "the chair represents an opportunity to prepare future lawyers in a field of Law that is constantly evolving, providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary to face the challenges presented by the world of business law and technology.”

Among the different activities that will be developed within the framework of the initiative, is the creation of a working group with the R&D departments of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences or the establishment of working frameworks with other faculties, especially the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences

The URJC-Lefebvre Chair aims to be an open space for collaboration and meeting for entities, associations and companies with common interests, such as law associations or technology regulation institutions.
