Today, December 5, International Volunteer Day is celebrated to “recognize and promote the tireless work of volunteers around the world,” according to the UN on its website.
The Rey Juan Carlos University, like every year and in view of the Christmas period, launches several volunteer actions so that the members of our university community collaborate by helping the most vulnerable people.
Among these programs is the possibility of helping in different areas and to different groups.
The concrete actions that can be carried out consist of organizing a solidarity market with the organization 'Mother Courage', accompanying minors with West syndrome and participating in fun days with different activities for children and their families, in collaboration with the West Syndrome Foundation.

In addition, those who wish may be trained and educated, through workshops in schools, in matters of Human Rights, through the NGO Helsinki Spain.
Likewise, those who want can register through the URJC at the International Civil Service of Madrid to participate in their 'Sandwiches on the Street' actions, aimed at helping people experiencing homelessness.
