The award-winning work is titled 'The hidden side of foods of plant origin: Natural toxins'. In it, the researchers of the consolidated Research Group in Analytical Chemistry Applied to the Environment, Food and Drugs (GQAA-MAF) directed by Dr. Isabel Sierra, Professor of the Analytical Chemistry area of Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, tell about their current research on the natural toxins from food, within the framework of the EVALAKALIM and EVALKALIM-II projects. In addition, they offer a tour of their laboratory.
To date, the video already has almost 600 views and more than 100 likes, having great acceptance among the public. Thanks to their outreach work, they have obtained free membership in the Official College of Chemists of Madrid.
Disseminate on social networks
This conference offers an opportunity for undergraduate, master's, doctoral students, researchers and professors from all over the world to disseminate through Social Networks about the research they are currently carrying out and is open to different disciplines. After the success of the last edition, this year more than 60 informative videos have been published and more than 7000 people have attended the videos during all these days. The congress has had different modalities, including formats such as 'μVideos', short videos and interviews with disseminators, also giving access to schools and institutes and holding different workshops to learn how to disseminate.
The 'Divulga NextGen' conference is sponsored by the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry, the Official College of Chemists of Madrid and the Spanish Geological Society, among others.
