The event, which consisted of a round table, was inaugurated by the Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres Pérez, and the Rector of the Rey Juan Carlos University, Javier Ramos.

The minister, Ángel Víctor Torres Pérez, has published on his account 'X': "Today I inaugurated some interesting conferences on Freemasonry in Spain at the URJC. They were citizenship schools whose members were persecuted, accused and condemned during the dictatorship. Now their honor is being restored from democratic memory."

Jesús Soriano Carrillo, president of the Academy of Masonic Studies, and a prominent Freemason, participated in the debate. Also, Cayetano Núñez Rivero, doctor in Law and Political Science and professor at the UNED and Ibero-American study centers.

The day was organized by Felipe Debasa, professor of Contemporary History at the URJC, together with Florentino Guzmán-Plasencia, member of the Mobility Chair at the University of La Laguna.
